I don’t know about you, I think Mango Strawberry Smoothie is really the perfect summer drink as well, given its light, fruity and refreshing flavors.

Kitchen Equipment

  • Blender – any kind works but high speed blenders produce the smoothest and creamiest smoothie.

Ingredients

These are the main ingredients that go into our strawberry mango smoothie:

Two glasses of pink smoothie with strawberry slices on top
  • frozen strawberries: I highly recommend using frozen (not fresh) because the frozen strawberries bring that icy texture to your smoothie, and you don’t need to add additional ice
  • frozen mangoes: similar to frozen strawberries, frozen mangoes bring that icy texture to the smoothie
  • pineapple juice: use unsweetened pineapple juice for natural sweetness without the added sugar. This works as one of the liquid bases for our smoothie.
  • almond milk: almond milk has a lighter texture than oat milk or dairy milk. However, you can use those as well if you prefer.

Let’s Make It

Grab that high speed blender and let’s make some strawberry mango smoothie!

Bring all the ingredients into the blender.

I always start with the liquids at the bottom, follow by the soft, non-frozen items, and then frozen items on the top, so that the blades don’t get stuck.

So add almond milk, pineapple juice, frozen strawberries and frozen mangos…in that order.

Blend it up until it is thick and creamy!

When it is done, pour mango strawberry smoothie into two glasses, then top with sliced strawberries if desired.

Enjoy immediately!

Tips and Tricks

  • Use some frozen fruits: make sure there are fruits in your smoothie that are frozen fruits, (but not all fruits need to be frozen), because this will bring the crushed ice textures in your smoothie without having to add ice.
  • Add a sweetener: If your fruit is not very sweet or if you prefer a sweeter mango strawberry smoothie, you can add a natural sweetener like honey, maple syrup, dates or agave nectar.
  • Boost your smoothie: To boost the nutritional content of your smoothie, consider adding flax seeds, chia seeds, protein powder, or some greens like spinach or kale.
  • Creamier texture: For a creamier, richer texture, consider adding some plain or vanilla yogurt to your smoothie. Greek yogurt adds a good amount of protein as well.

Ingredient Substitutions and Modifications

The real magic to Mango Strawberry Smoothie truly lies in those three main ingredients. If at all possible, stick to the below ingredients to get the closet taste and texture to the real thing.

With that said, there are a few ways you can switch things up:

  • Other frozen berries: Instead of frozen strawberries, you can frozen blueberries or raspberries or a mixed berry blend.
  • Milk substitute: You can substitute almond milk with whole milk, 2% milk, oat milk or soy milk.
  • Add sweetener: If you prefer your mango strawberry smoothie sweeter, add honey, agave or maple syrup. Dates are a great naturally sweetener you can use as well.
