HEALTHY orange chicken

Baked, not fried! Crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside, chicken pieces are coated with sweet and tangy orange sauce. Serve with warm rice. So good!

Chicken Breast Egg Flour Corn Starch Salt Orange Marmalade Soy Sauce Garlic Cloves Red Pepper Flakes Oil

Ingredients

COAT CHICKEN

Cube the chicken and pat dry. Combine flour, cornstarch and salt in a flat bowl. Whisk egg in a separate bowl.  Coat chicken pieces with egg mixture and then with the flour mixture.

PREPARE BAKING PAN

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Brush with oil.  Place chicken, without overlapping onto lined baking sheet.

BAKE CHICKEN

Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven, and flip the chicken pieces.  Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.

SAUCE

Add orange marmalade, minced garlic, soy sauce and red pepper flakes to a pot. Bring it to boil then cook on low until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Toss baked chicken with sauce in a large bowl.  Serve with white or brown rice. Enjoy!
