A basic but crazy flavorful rice pilaf and vegetable side dish! Basmati rice cooked in garlic and chicken bouillon, and tossed with mixed vegetables. Goes well with just about any protein or eat it by itself!
Basmati Rice Water Chicken Bouillon Garlic Cloves Frozen Mixed Vegetables Olive Oil
In a large pot, add olive oil and minced garlic and cook until fragrant (this goes quick!). Do not brown or burn the garlic.
Add rice, stir and cook for a minute. Then stir in water and chicken bouillon and bring to a boil. Lower to medium-low heat, cover pot, and cook for 15-17 minutes.
Microwave frozen mixed vegetables for 20-30 seconds, or until the vegetables are soft (do not overcook). Drain the water.
Use a spatula to stir and fluff rice. Then add mixed vegetables and stir to combine. Serve and enjoy!
