This Brown Butter Banana Bread recipe takes a regular banana bread recipe to an even more delicious level…just by browning the butter!

Start by melting the butter until a foam forms on top and brown bits start to appear. Click for details on creating brown butter
Next, mix the brown butter and sugar together, then stir in the mashed bananas, eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt together and slowly mix into the wet ingredients. Then pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan.
Slice a banana in half lengthwise and place it on top of the batter. Then bake for 1 hour and allow to cool.
Serve warm with your favorite butter or fruit preserve.
