Ingredients

▢ 16 oz strawberries
▢ 12 oz baking chocolate or chocolate chunks, chocolate chips
▢ 4 oz white chocolate chips

Instructions

Wash and pat dry strawberries.
Chop chocolate into smaller pieces if needed. Melt chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Remove and stir.
Bring chocolate back to the microwave, melt on 50% power for 30 seconds. Remove and stir.
Repeat step 3 until chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
Holding the leafy end of the strawberry, dip strawberry into melted chocolate. Then placed strawberry on a plate lined with parchment or wax paper. Repeat for all the strawberries. Set aside chocolate dipped strawberries in the refrigerator.
Optional: Consume the rest of the chocolate :)
Melt white chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Repeat until white chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
Bring white chocolate into a zip lock bag, and snip a VERY SMALL opening on one corner of the zip lock bag.
Remove strawberries from refrigerator. Squeeze white chocolate out from the opening and draw thin horizontal lines (or anything else you want) on strawberries.
Refrigerate strawberries for 10 minutes so that chocolate hardens.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Other ways to melt chocolate/white chocolate:

pot method: heat the chocolate on low heat in a pot while stirring continuously. Remove promptly from heat once chocolate is melted.
double moiler method: place 1 to 2 inches of water in a small pot and place a bowl that can withstand heat in the pot (water should not go into the bowl). Heat pot, place chocolate in the bowl and keep stirring until chocolate is completely melted.
