Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1½-2 lb chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large apple sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 twig fresh thyme
  • 1 twig sage
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  • Heat a deep skillet over medium heat and drizzle with cooking oil. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add chicken thighs. Avoid overlapping - cook in two batches if needed.
  • Flip chicken thighs once the bottom is browned, and fully cook them until internal temperature reaches 165℉. Once fully cooked, remove to a plate and set aside.
  • Add onions and garlic to the skillet. Saute for 1 minute. Add sliced apples. Saute for a couple of minutes until apples are soft.
  • Add apple cider and fresh herbs to the skillet. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for a few minutes.
  • Return chicken to the skillet. Bring back to a boil. Give the chicken a couple of minutes to warm up. Remove from heat.
  • Serve and enjoy!
