Creole Cream Cheese Wonton Cups

Mini bite sized Creole inspired crispy wonton cups filled with seasoned cream cheese mixture, sausage, green onions and drizzled with a tangy, zesty sauce! A fun twist to the classic cream cheese wontons.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 ½ tsp Tony Chachere’s Lite Creole Seasoning
  • ¼ cup spring onions chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tbsp red onions minced
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 6 oz smoked sausage cooked

Sauce

  • ½ cup Tony Chachere’s French Dressing
  • ¼ tsp Tony Chachere’s Lite Creole Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 425°F.
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Tony Chachere’s Lite Creole Seasoning, spring onions, and red onions. Mix well to combine.
  • Grease muffin tin.
  • Bring two pieces of wonton wrappers to each muffin cups, press to form a cup shape.
  • Add ~1 tbsp cream cheese mixture to each muffin cup.
  • Slice sausage and top a slice of sausage onto the top of cream cheese mixture on each wonton cup.
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes.
  • To make the sauce, whisk together all ingredients under ‘sauce’.
  • Remove from oven and drizzle the tops of each wonton cup with sauce, then garnish with more green onions.
  • Serve the rest of the sauce on the side as a dip. Enjoy!
