Baked French Toast Casserole made with cream cheese! Dry bread cubes is soaked in a flavorful egg and milk mixture, topped with cream cheese dollop, then baked in the oven. A delicious, make-head and large-quantity breakfast idea, perfect for holidays, brunches, or large gatherings.

Ingredients
 

French Toast

  • 12 cups dry bread cubed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • vegetable oil spray

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp confectioner sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Generously grease a 9"x13" casserole dish with vegetable oil spray.
  • Place cubed bread into the casserole dish.
  • In a medium sized bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  • Pour egg mixture over the cubed bread.
  • Cover and let set in the refrigerator for 4 hours up to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Whisk together cream cheese, confectioner sugar, and vanilla.
  • Scatter dollops of the cream cheese filling around the casserole dish.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the centers are cooked and set.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Serve with maple syrup. Enjoy!
