Air Fryer Crab Rangoon is a healthier version of the favorite Chinese American takeout appetizer! Crispy wontons are stuffed with a creamy, cheesy, and savory filling. Served with sweet Thai chili sauce.
In a small bowl, add cream cheese, imitation crab meat, green onions, sweet onions, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Using pastry/basting brush, brush all four edges of the wonton wrapper with the beaten egg.
Place 1 tbsp of the cream cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper. Do not overstuff.
Pick up two opposite corners and press them together. Then pick up the other two opposite corners to the middle and press the sides together to seal and close the seams.
Repeat Step 2-4 until all the cream cheese mixture are gone. This recipe should yield approximately 15 rangoons.
When all the rangoons are wrapped, pre-heat air fryer to 370°F. Generously brush egg wash over each rangoon. Then spray the tops with oil.
Place wontons into air fryer and cook for 7-9 minutes. Do not overcrowd the rangoons. Cook in batches if needed.
