Yes! You can freeze it before cooking. I would mix all the seasonings together, add it into an airtight zip-lock bag or container along with the pork, then freeze it. And I love the hoisin tortilla combo! YUM!

Made this and shredded purple cabbage and carrots for toppings and used on small tortilla wraps! It was absolutely delicious! My question is I’m wondering if I could add all ingredients and freeze to make in crockpot after thawing overnight? Do you think that would work? I wanted to try and meal prep some of it. I also added another little spot of hoisin before wrapping mine in the tortilla. It was so good! Thanks for recipe and thanks for any info on freezing before cooking!

Maybe try 3x the soy since it's bone in? More importantly you'll want the liquids to cover most of the pork (doesn't have to cover all of it). I think even 4x should be ok if you need it - it's a lot of meat! Please let me know how it goes!

Will be making this for the 4th! Question is,I have a 9 lb pork butt with bone in. So would I use 4x’s the soy sauce or would that be too salty?
