I made this yesterday with a few tweaks based on what I had in the house. I only had Half and Half in the fridge and used 3/4 cup. Next time I think I will add a little more ground mustard. I love ham and swiss cheese sandwiches so I used all swiss cheese, it came out perfectly for my tastes. It is so good and reheated great in the microwave. Whenever I microwave bread products I put a little cup of water beside what I'm heating and use my microwave cover, it seems to help food from drying out or becoming hard.

I haven't tried it before but I imagine it could work. The only downside about using a crockpot is that the tops would not be crispy and it will lack the crunchy texture. Let me know if you do make it in a crockpot and how it goes!

In reply to Elizabeth Scurry.

I would not use raw crescent rolls in this recipe. Bake those crescent rolls first and cubed them into small pieces, and then follow the recipe instruction to assemble and bake. If you want to use raw crescent rolls in breakfast casserole, use this recipe instead. Hope that helps!
