Hi Donny! Thanks for sharing! I actually don’t precook the hot dogs because those meats are usually already cooked and we are simply heating them up in the oven briefly. In my experience, they usually warm up in the amount of oven time recommended. If you are using raw hot dogs or sausages then yes, I definitely recommend precooking them!

Love the recipe but just one issue. Wish you had placed the note part about the hot dog needing to be precooked when placing the hot dogs in the bun. Was following your recipe step by step and finally when I read the note part I was like, “DAMN IT!” So, had to cook the chili dogs a bit longer to cook the hot dogs.
